The Major Government Projects Taskforce (MGPT) established the Centre for Excellence in Innovation and Infrastructure Delivery (CEIID) in mid 2007.
The MGPT is chaired by the Minister for Housing and Works, and includes the Minister for Planning and Infrastructure, and the Treasurer.
A Program Management Office (PMO) has been established within the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF) to facilitate and support this infrastructure reform program. The PMO operates under the guidance of a Steering Committee from member agencies, and their Chief Executive Officers (CEOs).
CEIIDs members include:
- Department of Housing and Works (DHW)
- Department for Planning and Infrastructure (DPI)
- Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF)
- Main Roads WA (MRWA)
- Public Transport Authority (PTA)
- State Solicitors’ Office (SSO)
- Fremantle Port Authority (FPA)
- Water Corporation
Priority areas for reform by CEIID have been endorsed by agency CEOs that will lead to improved project management and efficiency. A range of strategic initiatives has been established to progress priorities.
