Strategic Asset Management Framework
The Strategic Asset Management Framework (SAMF) comprises 12 policies and guidelines designed to improve infrastructure investment planning and asset management across the State public sector. The Framework facilitates the provision of quality advice to Government to support its decision-making.
The Department of Treasury and Finance is reviewing the Framework in order to:
update and augment the policies and guidelines it contains
identify ways to ensure successful implementation
develop a user-friendly, electronic format.
Following consultations with agencies, our aim is to have the new SAMF available for use from July 2010 to assist preparations for Budget 2011-12.
Pending the outcomes of the SAMF Review, agencies should continue to refer to the original Framework below, noting that the documents contain useful and enduring guidance.
