Centre for Excellence and Innovation in Infrastructure Delivery Program Management Office (CEIID PMO)

Established in mid 2007 as part of the State Government’s commitment to public sector Procurement Reform, the Centre for Excellence and Innovation in Infrastructure Delivery (CEIID) has as its ultimate aim, the delivery of more capital works projects on time and on budget.

The CEIID is sponsored by The Major Government Projects Taskforce, which is chaired by the Minister for Works and includes the Minister for Planning and Infrastructure and the Treasurer.

Its key objectives are to establish practices that promote formal collaboration between works agencies on infrastructure related issues, including strategic asset management and the construction of major infrastructure.  In addition to enhanced knowledge sharing, CEIID will also assist with the development of best practice and the adoption of a more consistent approach across the works agencies systems, processes and standards.

A Project Management Office has been created within the DTF to provide coordination and support, and the CEIID is lead by CEO Group comprised of heads of the participating organisations and is the primary sponsor of the CEIID program. The CEO Group provides strategic leadership and direction to the CEIID program.

The Steering Committee is the executive management body. The Steering Committee oversees the delivery of the CEIID program in keeping with the strategic direction and priorities established by the CEO Group.
