Work-Life Balance
- Want a life as well as a job?
- Want to continue your sporting/lifestyle commitments?
- Want to break up your work day with yoga/pilates?
- Want to travel while keeping your career on track?
At DTF we recognise that work is only one aspect of your life. In this regard we strive to make work arrangements as flexible as possible to cater for your personal commitments.
Flexi-time
DTF has adopted flexible working hours which means that when you work at DTF you can:
- Start work any time from 7.00am to 9.30am & finish anytime from 3.00pm and 6pm provided you work a minimum of 7hr 30mins per day.
- Over-time (hours worked over 7hr 30mins) is accrued and can be taken off as flexi-leave. For example you can use flexi-leave to take time off to participate in your training and sports commitments.
- Opportunity to work at DTF for 4 years and elect to receive 80% of your pay, then take the 5th year off and get paid. This is fantastic if you want to take a year off to travel the world while still keeping your career on track.

Purchased leave
You can also purchase leave and elect to receive extra leave spread over the full 52 weeks of the year. This will entitle you to take extra leave in addition to your normal leave entitlements, provided you receive a reduced salary over the year to pay for the leave.

The Wellness Program
The Wellness program is another example of DTF’s commitment to a work-life balance. This program offers workshops to educate and assist employees in maintaining healthy lifestyles. There is also yoga, pilates and get-fit classes offered to all DTF employees.
This forms part of DTF’s overall commitment to providing a rewarding and caring work environment for all employees. The intent is to offer services and opportunities for staff to assess their levels of health and well-being and consider methods of improvement. The program is voluntary and available to all employees.
