About the 2010 Graduate Program

DTF seeks talented Graduates interested in the following areas:

  • Treasury, Government Procurement, Building Management and Works and Shared Services.
  • Information Services (information technology and systems).

We are offering up to 28 talented and motivated Graduates the opportunity to kick start their career within a dedicated and inspired organisation that provides innovative services and independent advice in:

  • Economic and financial management.
  • Auditing and revenue investigations.
  • Contracting and tendering functions.
  • Building and construction management.
  • Human Resources, Information Services and Finance.

Who we are looking for?

To apply for the 2010 Graduate Program, applicants will have:

  • A high standard of academic achievement 
  • Completed a degree in 2008 or 2009
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency or demonstrate they have applied for permanent residency
  • Skills and attributes to meet the following job requirements: research skills, written, oral and interpersonal skills, conceptual and analytical skills demonstrate initiative and work within a team environment.

Note: Applicants for the Information Services stream are required to demonstrate knowledge of, or experience in, programming, systems, analysis, design and development.

Where are the positions available?

Graduate Positions are available in the following area:

Treasury - 12 positions
Preferred Degrees - Economics, Accounting, Commerce, Business

Government Procurement - up to 5 positions
Preferred Degrees - Business, Commerce, Law, Arts

Building Management and Works - up to 4 positions
Preferred Degrees - Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business or Commerce with a project management focus

Shared Services - 1 HR position
Preferred Degrees - Commerce or Business with a HR, Industrial Relations major

Shared Services - 3 Finance positions
Preferred Degrees - Commerce or Business with an Accounting or Finance major

Shared Services - 1 IT position
Preferred Degrees - Information Technology Information Systems

Information Systems - 2 position
Preferred Degrees - Information Technology Information Systems with preference for applications development.
