Peak system usage periods
During peak system usage periods (such as budget deadlines), TIMS will be made available (with help desk support) for increased hours. Variations to the "Normal System Availability Hours" will be displayed in either the Budget/ATM/BCM or Actuals/IM/DLM Noticeboard.
System Availability
As detailed above, TIMS will normally be unavailable after the advertised times on weekdays and weekends. Under the previous arrangement, many users accessed the system outside of the advertised availability times, which caused problems with system maintenance. Access to the system outside the availability hours will no longer be possible, as TIMS will now be 'brought down'.
Unless alternative access arrangements are in place, users must exit the system prior to it being made unavailable (see the advertised times above). If this does not occur, users will be disconnected and may lose unsaved data.
Unsupported weekend access to TIMS
At the request of a number of users, TIMS has been made available (but unsupported) on weekends all year round but unfortunately DTF cannot guarantee that this will always be possible.
For example, if TIMS or supporting technology unexpectedly fails on Saturday then, due to there being no support available on weekends, the system will be unavailable for the rest of that weekend.
The weekend availability arrangements will be regularly reviewed by DTF.
